I’ve always led a super active lifestyle. I was a high school athlete and taught group fit classes as an adult. Despite this, I struggled with body image and fostered an unhealthy relationship with food for many years. These issues only intensified when I turned 40. It was at that point I realized I needed guidance, and thus started working with Jenn in January of 2016.
Jenn immediately took the time to understand my goals. She not only tailored my nutritional plan and my workouts to meet the needs of my busy lifestyle, she also took the time to educate me on the benefits of properly fueling my body as well as the advantages of functional workouts. We made small tweaks whenever necessary and after a few months, I saw tangible results.
Training consistently for a few months allowed me time to fall in love with the strength and conditioning of my body. After working together for about a year, my goals shifted and I decided to train for a bikini competition. Prepping for my show came with an obvious amount of discipline as well as several hurdles. Jenn stood by me through each and every one and we worked to overcome them as best we could. I’m happy to say, together we earned a top five placing.
Perhaps even more noteworthy than a stage ready physique, is the mindset shift that occurred over the three plus years I worked with Jenn. She coached me on how to break free from self-critical thoughts and helped uncover my true potential not only as an athlete but in all aspects of my life. I still employ many of the strategies she taught me and will be forever grateful for the role she played in rewiring my mindset.
Sure, body recomposition is hard work, but the true measure of a transformation is far more than physique. Jenn does everything she can to help her clients achieve their goals. Her determined spirit combined with her “fresh take” on fitness helps set the foundation for living a healthier lifestyle.
